BRN Supports Maureen’s Haven Homeless Outreach

On a beautiful September 23rd morning, members of BRN met on the scenic Holiday Beach in Center Moriches for their first in-person meeting in months to share in fellowship, in thanks, and to give back to their community. Donations of food, clothing, and supplies were brought to the meeting by the members and taken afterwards by Jim Stumpf to Maureen’s Haven in Riverhead, where they were received by Executive Director Daniel O’Shea and a grateful staff.

Our 2nd Annual Winter Clothing Drive Helps Local Charities

Members of BRNSC conducted a winter clothing drive to benefit 2 local charities: Angels of LI in East Patchogue and Lighthouse Mission of Bellport. The month-long drive culminated in a large donation of coats, scarves, sweatshirts, gloves, etc, which was delivered on November 20th. BRNSC would like to thank all of their members for their help in gathering the items from many different people and for making our 2nd clothing drive the success it was.

Business Referral Network of Suffolk County (BRNSC) is once again conducting a winter clothing and coat drive to supply local shelters with gently used sweaters, boots, gloves, scarves, coats, etc for the less privileged members of our communities. Local shelters/missions will be the recipients of any donations. Clothing will be donated the week before Thanksgiving, so please help us to keep those less fortunate than ourselves warm this winter, and next!

BRNSC Collects Food for Local Charities

On a beautiful Saturday morning, September 21st, BRNSC held it’s annual Food Drive to help the local, less fortunate among us in the Bellport/East Patchogue area. This year’s recipients were the food pantry st St. Joseph the Worker Church in East Patchogue and the St. Vincent DePaul food Pantry at Mary Immaculate Church in Bellport. Local residents shopping at Cirillo’s and CVS, and members of BRNSC, were very generous in their donations of non-perishable food and money (used to buy more food) for the cause. Donations looked like they exceeded last year’s, so we were very fortunate.
